Services

Scope of Activity is directly dependent on the size and complexity of each event.  Acting on behalf on each event owner, Margaret Reid Pty Ltd converts logistics and decisions into action, providing administrative support and the coordination of suppliers, venues, caterers, accommodation and travel for each conference.

The company further specialises in the management of trade exhibitions and the successful initiating of industry and or government sponsorship campaigns.

The World Bank, Washington D.C. U.S.A.

Over 6 years Margaret and her company organised 4 major conferences.  Each of the conferences, including as often happens with a World Bank Conference, there is a very diverse mix of participants from Ministers to community groups, and a large number of attendees.

The company set up realistic and achievable budgets and at each event succeeded in coming in under budget.  This is a great source of comfort to a conference sponsor and is a reflection of their eye for detail and prudent approach to sourcing of supplies, equipment and contractual services.

They have excellent peoples’ skills and organisational skills and is able to work seamlessly with Ministers, community level people and venue staff.  Always developing excellent working relationships with counterparts whether at the hotel or in the local World Bank office.  With this “can do” attitude it bought out the best in terms of the hotel responding to the conference needs and the meticulous attention to detail that all the key equipment and services were available so that the events ran smoothly.  A great deal of care was taken handling all the event functions including accommodations, food and beverage and additional care watching over practical things such as room allocations, VIP accommodations, transport to and from the airport, visits to local attractions, meals, conference dinners and banquets, after dinner speakers and entertainment.

Margaret Reid joined the APEC 2007 Taskforce in 2005 with a wealth of knowledge from the world of Professional Conference Organisers.  Her vast experience indicated that she was a well-suited candidate for the Senior Co-ordination of one of our key Sydney venues for Leaders’ Week 2007.

Margaret applied her knowledge thoughtfully and succinctly to developing avenue utilisation plan for this venue and worked well by herself to produce the various documents we required for a very large group of stakeholders.  In developing all the various layers of information, Margaret was able to provide vital information on what she felt would and would not work for a large number of delegates.

Margaret’s own team did not commence until late May 2006 and since that time she has provided them with a sound platform of knowledge to develop the detailed planning further.  They have enjoyed learning these planning skills from such an event industry master.
